GraphCore™ GC1001 – Aqueous Dispersion of Graphene Nanoplatelets
THE GraphCore™ GC1001 belongs to the family GraphCore™, developed by Black Swan Graphene, and represents a ready-to-use industrial solution for applications that require graphene already dispersed in an aqueous medium, eliminating critical steps in the dispersion of dry powder. Produced by a patented liquid-phase exfoliation (LPE) process, the GC1001 This process utilizes carefully selected graphite, dispersed in water with non-ionic surface agents (~3% on a solid basis). This process generates multilayer graphene nanoplatelets with a narrow particle size distribution, high surface area, and excellent colloidal stability. Unlike graphene obtained through oxidative routes, the GC1001 It preserves the structural integrity of sp² carbon, exhibiting low defect density, improved chemical stability, and high performance in aqueous systems.
Advanced technical features:
- Stable aqueous dispersion with ~9% of solids
- Multilayer graphene platelets with modal laterality ~5 µm
- Low structural defect ratio (low ID/IG in Raman)
- Neutral to slightly alkaline pH (6.5 – 8.2)
- Compatible with concrete, cement, mortars, paints, coatings and masterbatches.
- Industrial product with strict batch control.
Production Process
GraphCore™ GC1001 is produced by a standardized liquid exfoliation process according to ISO standards, using high-purity graphite dispersed in an aqueous medium with non-ionic surface agents. This process engineering, based on precise chemical and energy control, ensures graphene nanoplatelets (GNPs) with consistent quality, colloidal stability, and industrial reproducibility, supplied directly in the form of an aqueous dispersion, ready for use or for conversion into powder or masterbatch.
